For this activity we got to choose what we wanted to measure our feet with we had lots of option I chose counters ruler and ones cubes first we had to estimate with those equipments next we used our equipments and put then next to our feet from top too bottom.

Reading activity Kahawai

This is my second reading activity . This was an activity were we read a book called kahawai in this book its about a girl and her grandma in Auckland and in the future it is horrible auckland is polluted and the message is that if you don't care about the earth know in the future the earth is going to be polluted oceans so start planting trees and pick up your rubbish.Our activity was to write down all the things that would be in the polluted water in the future and add pictures.

Today I made a go animate. I made it because it was a reading activity I read a book about a robot and our activity was that if you made a robot what could you do with it or what do you think will happen. In my go animate movie my robot is a ghost an at first I think that it would be cool and fun to have a ghost robot but things go terribly wrong.

My story with a twist.

“Yipee daily blogging time!” Every day I would do a daily blog about a music video on Youtube. Today I was creating my very own music!

I was so jubilant that the video had gone viral! Every minute that passed, my video would get one billion hits.  3 minutes had passed and the computer started getting surrounded by smoke. I was worried. What was going to happen?….

“KABOOM!!!” The computer blew up. I tried to make the fire disappear before anyone would see but it was too much of a fire.  I was going to be in a LOT of trouble when Mum and Dad found out about this horrific  mess.

Migration push and pull factors.

Were I would and would not want to migrate to.

If I could migrate somewhere I would migrate to Paris in Europe. The reason that I would migrate there is because I have never heard anything bad about it and I think that there is a lot of good health care.The other reason that I would want to migrate to Europe is because of the beautiful beaches and land. One thing that I like about Europe is the style - I love fashion. A place I wouldn't want to live would not have  much land and a language that would be hard to learn. Another reason would be because of the high crime rate.One place that I definitely would not want to be in are countries with poor educational chances.

What I did in the Holidays

In the Holiday's I went to the movies with my brother Haadi we watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes . We were in a rush when we got there we had to sit in the front area because the other rows were already full. The sound  was  really loud and a bit scary. We got popcorn ice cream and drinks . I thought the movie was great. However   my brother and I still thought the first movie ( planet of the apes ) was a bit better. After the movie finished we went to the arcade where we played basketball. We had fun. He scored 11 and I scored 5 but for the first time that I played basketball I was really happy. Next we looked in shops to kill some time while we waited for my bigger brother to come pick us up.

When we went to botanic gardens our class learned lots of new things I learned that leaves go through a cycle that when the fall down they become part of the forest. We also learned that trees are so important because they give us oxygen to breath. We learned lots of cycles like trees evaporating.

The Maud island frog

The Maud island frog is about 42 meters long!!! so small. The frogs skin is kept moist so they can also breath through there skin if it is not kept most it will die. When Maud island frogs croak it sound weird it sound like a cricket.

What do you notice?  

This term we did our second basic facts test this term I got 73 correct answers out of 100 last time I got 58 out of 60.

I know all  my addition and subtraction but I think the multiplication and division  let me down and now I know what I need to work on .

I am good at adding because I have lots of strategies to put them in like making a perfect ten.

I really need to work on multiplication and ways to find it a bit easier.

The goal I am going to set for myself is that my the end of this year I  am going to go on sites at home for half and hour that are about multiplication to get faster and get someone from my family to help me learn more easier ways to solve the problem .

Inference

This week we have been learning about what inference is we learned inference is what we predict will happen  and what you know will happen instead of it saying. You  can inference when you read a book or if you watch a movie a good way to inference is by watching a silent video  and you know all ready what's happening with out the words know that's inference
