This is a collaborative DLO created by Charlize, Mahdia, Zahra, Nazella, Sajiha and I. This explain what commas are used for and why it is important. This activity is part of our learning subject SPaG so that we know how to use it and why it is important.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Personification paragraph
This google drawing consists of a picture prompt and a paragraph. I have created this with my partner Sajiha. Our focus was to use the 5 senses and personification to help paint a picture in our readers mind with words. We each wrote a sentence and had 15 minutes to complete our paragraph

Synthesizing - 6 Thinking Hats
This is a collaborative task that I worked on with my group. This presentation is based around the ballad created by John T Diamond. We answered the six thinking hats to answer question. We also synthesized our information to help us have a clearer knowledge. I collaborated with my reading group Daniel, Sebastian, Thomas, Zahn and Gozan.

Bias
This week our reading group has been focusing on Bias. Bias means only one point of view . To find someone's bias in an article they will be trying to make you think like them. In other words they will be persuading you of their point of view. Being biased means you will be against a group of people who think differently. Our group read an article about musicians going to auditions and they liked male more than female musicians. Now they do blind auditions and sometime the are asked to take their shoes off so they are not judged by their gender or the way they look.

Pre-fix Sub
Sub Paragraph
The man took the subway to his subcellar. On his way he stopped to check out a submarine submerging down to the subterranean, subzero water. When he received a call that he could study about the substratum under the earth's soil. Than he received mail from the subordinate staff, he suddenly felt his heart subvert as he read the daily subtitle.
This is word wall and a paragraph made up of the pre-fix sub. I collaborated with Latham, Mere and Ana, we each had different jobs so we could finish on time with good quality work. We used dictionary and online sites to help us find the pre-fix sub words and every time we added in a word we read the definition out loud so all of the group could understand the words. For the sub paragraph Ana and Mere were out by giving us pre-fix sub words that could fit into the story witch Me and Latham were writing.

Retelling Ratburger in 25 words
Today I will retell the story Ratburger, but theirs a twist. I can only use 25 words!
Zoe's Father lost his job and her stepmother couldn't care less about her. She eventually finds happiness when she finds her mouse Armitage.
Retelling the story was really hard because I had to keep it to the main points and I wanted to write so much.
